Rose comes from a line of noble sandwings who lived within the palace, the line are descendants of a sandwing princess, and are recognised as part of the royal family, though their more distant relation wouldn't allow any daughter to challenge the queen for the throne, they still hold a decent amount of status-- though they're slightly less respected than similar families because of an icewing great grandfather.
She grew up within the palace and she didn't really enjoy it, often being forced to engage with dragons whom she didn't like, and who didn't like her. She found the palace walls stifling. So after careful consideration and much conversation with her sister, who she has a very close relationship with, she decided to move out into a small oasis town. She's getting used to her new town, and is trying her hardest to find new connections and friends.
